How long have you been in business?
Terra Building Group has been in business since May of 2013. However, The owner's have a combined 100+ years of experience in the residential and commercial construction industries.
What is your primary product or service?
Terra Building Group designs and constructs 100% LEED certified and ENERGY STAR homes in both a "Signature Series" and "Urban Living Series". The Signature Series is designed primarily for rural and suburban lots and the Urban Livings Series is geared towards urban properties that are small and/or narrow.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
I first became enamored with the construction process as a young child. I would sit and draw the construction sequences for new homes at the age of five. As I got older I enrolled in numerous mechanical and architectural drafting classes where I learned more about the construction process. After college I went on to work as an engineer for large commercial firms where I moved up into management level positions. My true passion was residential construction and in 1994 I founded a home building business that emphasized "Green" construction techniques and superior quality. To further enhance my business skills I returned to college and earned a degree in Finance, a minor in Accounting, and my MBA.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Terrra Building Group is the only 100% LEED residential builder in the entire Pittsburgh region.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
Terra Building Group has a geographic market in the Greater Pittsburgh area. The headquarters is located in a county just outside the city limits and Terra plans to open an office in our geographic market within the coming year.

Currently, the best location to view a new home is on PA route 422 in Prospect, PA. Directions from Pittsburgh are as follows; Travel on I-279 north. I-279 north ends at I-79, continue on I-79 north to exit 96 (Portersville, PA route 488) Turn right on 488 east for approximately 1.5 miles. Turn left on Pleasant Valley Road. Travel on Pleasant Valley Road for 1 mile and turn right onto PA-422. Travel on PA-422 east for 6 miles. Model home location is at 940 New Castle Road on the left hand side of 422.
What type of payments do you accept?
Typically, most home purchases are completed through a construction loan and mortgage arrangement. However, cash deals, although rare, are also available to customers.
Which areas do you service?
Terra Building Group services the entire Greater Pittsburgh region.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Brett Robinson is the President and manages all daily operations.
What are your hours of operation?
Terra has a live contact person available from 7am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday. During off-hours we are available 24/7 on our website at www.TerraBuildingGroup.com.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
That I am a perfectionist. From a company standpoint I have had a customer tell me that in the 15 years that they have lived in their home they have never had to fix anything.
